Project Overview
For this project, I created a two-day social media calendar for The Right Size, a size-inclusive clothing brand. The goal was to develop a structured posting schedule that aligned with key holidays, promotions, and the brand’s mission of empowering people of all sizes through affordable fashion. This involved selecting the right social media platforms, choosing post timings and topics, determining content types, and drafting copy for select posts.
1. Selecting Social Media Platforms
Based on audience research, I identified three platforms that would best reach The Right Size’s target audience:
Facebook – Strong engagement for promotions and community-focused content.
Instagram – Ideal for visual content, stories, and influencer engagement.
Twitter – Useful for quick updates, customer interactions, and campaign promotions.
2. Setting Post Timings and Frequency
I considered audience activity patterns and platform algorithms to determine the best posting times:
Facebook & Instagram – Once or twice a day to maintain visibility without oversaturation.
Twitter – Multiple posts per day to capture different audience segments and time zones.
I developed captions that reflected The Right Size’s brand voice—empowering, inclusive, and engaging.

Balancing Posting Frequency:
Initially, I planned too many posts for Facebook and Instagram, but I refined the schedule to avoid overwhelming followers.
Lesson Learned: Algorithm-based platforms perform better with fewer, high-quality posts.
Aligning Copy with Brand Tone:
The Right Size’s tone is empowering and body-positive, so I ensured that the messaging stayed inclusive.
Lesson Learned: Every piece of content should reinforce the brand’s values.
Selecting Engaging Content Types:
Twitter performed best with short, engaging content like infographics and GIFs, while Instagram favored visual storytelling.
Lesson Learned: Tailoring content to each platform maximizes engagement.
This project successfully outlined a well-structured, goal-driven social media calendar that aligned with The Right Size’s marketing strategy. By integrating key holidays, promotions, and audience preferences, I ensured that each post was purposeful, engaging, and in line with the brand’s mission. This experience reinforced my ability to strategically plan, write, and optimize social media content—an essential skill for driving brand awareness and engagement.
